Save the Date -October 7th, 2015

Dear Community Members,

I am writing to inform you about an important area event to be held on – SAVE THE DATE - Wednesday, October 7th and invite you to share this information with your professional and personal networks of colleagues, parents, agencies, educators (esp. from Middle and Elementary Schools) and other interested adults.

Concerned local and county organizations have organized a panel discussion on the urgent and growing crisis of opiate use throughout Rockingham County. The event, co-sponsored by Pinkerton and Parkland Medical Center, will be held at the Derry Boys’ and Girls’ Club Auditorium (40 East Derry Road in Derry), Wednesday, October 7th from 6-8 p.m.

The evening will provide an opportunity to learn from the top specialists in the state about this growing crisis of opiates and OTC drugs, our state and county response to the situation, along with a chance to ask questions of the panel and steps individuals can take to prevent this problem.

Resources from several prevention, treatment and recovery organizations will be available at the event.

Registration is not required to attend.  A more detailed brochure will be forthcoming with names of the panelists and the format of the evening, which I will forward once it is released. I thank you in advance for sharing this announcement with those you know who could be interested in attending.

Thank you for your support of this critical event,

Griffin Morse
